Pastor Emmanuel once journeyed across Lake Bangweulu to visit remote congregations in Zambia. After a devastating accident claimed the lives of 14 church members, a new mission boat was launched to offer safer travel and carry the gospel to those there.
Tich set off on a long bike ride through the bush, hoping to finish his errands before dark. As the night came, something unexpected happened to his bike—confirming that God was with him all along.
More than a century ago, Adventists built the Pitcairn mission boat to carry hope across the Pacific. Today, that legacy continues in Zambia, where a new boat will reach isolated communities with the gospel—thanks to the 13th Sabbath Offering.

From performing life-saving surgeries to fixing cars and helping students, Dr. Kristian Hogganvik used every skill to serve others. He was dedicated to serving God until his death in 1994 at the age of 83.

Avuyile found a true sense of belonging at Lighthouse Adventist Church in Umhlanga. The warmth of the congregation helped her grow in faith. Now, the Adventist Church there plans to create an urban center of influence that provides counseling and support for those struggling behind closed doors.
